Diwali is a 5-day Hindu festival held annually during October and/or November on the Western calendar. On Diwali night, Hindus dress up in traditional attire, light up diyas (lamps) inside and outside their home, and celebrate with family. The celebration is usually marked by fireworks, gifts, and food.
