Position Summary:
In your role as Software Engineer (DevOps) you will work on the systems which make our SaaS solution robust and scalable. You will contribute to the implementation and maintenance of our infrastructure, which runs on AWS, such as:
- Create and maintain tools for continuous, automated monitoring and management of AWS infrastructure
- Implement instrumentation to aid in application monitoring
- Implement security controls in accordance with established security policies
- Perform troubleshooting of applications and infrastructure issues
This role is suitable for a Junior Engineer with excellent attention to detail and great organization skills.
Your career progression to more senior engineering roles will be determined exclusively by the demonstration of your ability and the results you achieve.
Candidate requirements
- Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science
- Able to work independently
- Attention to detail and think-outside-the-box mentality
- Experience using AWS (Amazon Web Services) and related technologies desirable
- Hands on experience with UNIX-like servers administration
- Experience with scripting languages such as shell scripting or Python
- Working knowledge of relational database management system
- Experience with NodeJS, Ruby, Chef, Puppet, Docker or OpsWorks desirable
- Good command of English and / or Cantonese
